2008 Christmas

Jingle Bell, Jingle Bell...Jingle All the Way... Christmas is coming and ended...
It's another year passing by in a split second and i will be going for my fifth year soon. Sigh...Time really flies.

Anyway, this time of period i really had a fun time of 2 month elective period in Singapore and Penang. I have learn more about medicine and at the same time travelled to plenty of places that i wouldn't be expecting of.

And, in this 2008 Christmas Eve, i am joining the crowd with my cousin in Gurney Plaza having some fun there... Accident happened!!! Her car was screwed by my friends who were coincidentally there and saw me..Haha

No Other Chinese Languages besides Mandarin Please!!!

It's really a bit awkward for me in Singapore to get all the channels which are showing chinese show to be translated into pure Mandarin. No other chinese languages other than pure mandarin are allowed here in Singapore!!

I don't really understand why is it so.. Other chinese languages like cantonese and hokkien are sometime so nice and convenient. It's a variability that we can actually see from all the languages.

Who will be the one to continue the culture and heritage of other chinese languages? Are we suppose to lost another of out heritage? I just don't understand it..

Second eye sore in Train

This is really 60% Porn..Please do not proceed if you're less than 18.Haha

I am standing in the train..and there was this couples..

Not sure if they are true couples just ....

So, this 40+ year old lady who was sitting in the MRT chair was sort of "playing" with the "boyfriend" standing just in front of her.

There were plenty of crowds in the train/MRT actually but not much of people noticed it.

So, this lady was there using her hand trying to lift up that guy short. And, yes, you can actually see her trying to control her laugh.

Then, she started using her legs to try and "sensualise" the BF..rubbing both of them on his feet.

Worst of all, she was showing her hand which looked like as if she wana grab the BF of his balls and penis...EEEeewww...in a train

Don't really know what luck running to me today, got to see opthalmologist to get some Tear Naturale (artificial tear) soon..haha

First ache in the train

I saw 2 funny matter today during my way back to woodland from Sentosa trip.. It's a pretty tired trip actually..

Along the way, probably in Novena station, there was this "old lady" - i will name her Pear who actually came into the train and demanded for a seat. How rude!!! Of course, she was not doing it on me, orelse she wouldn't probably get something from me...

This is how she actually demanded for a seat from a young man(ym) :-

Pear : Can i sit down? .......... fierce high rude tone without "Please"

YM
who was playing PSP looked around, not sure what is happening

Pear : Do you know what seat is this? look at the sign... (showing the sign of priority seat to disabled, pregnant lady or lady with child).

YM slowly wakes up to let Pear sit on his place.

Then, there comes phylosophical music from Pear..

Pear
: You guys are young man, strong and healthy, should let old people sit. Sorry, i don't mean to interfere. (After realising she was a bit rude)

I mean we as young man are happy enough to offer out a seat But please can it be done it a polite way? Besides, old age doesn't mean anything!!! Some people can still be way healthier than the young. I respect person as person no matter how old or young they are , just with 1 principle.

Please respect yourself before others respect you

For this Pear lady? Sorry, she is not deserving any respect from me.

And why Pear? Well, her shape did look like one..Hehe

Make Up

Started since the 2 weeks of neurosurgery posting and now in NUS, i noticed that a lot of "women" likes to put make up. And, it's almost the same make up for everyone of them- thick cherry red on both cheek and dark purplish circle around the eyelids.

this picture below sort of illustrate how the cheek looks like..

Honestly, i just feel weird about that since it doesn't make them pretty at all...

Singapore's Zoo

It's only until the weekend that i was able to sneak around Singapore for leisure As everyday NICU ward round was until 6pm in the afternoon.

So...last week, i finally managed to get myself to the zoo...YAya!!!!
Though it's just watching all the animals and nothing much...It's still my so called "First Destination" in Singapore---Zoo

We (Me, Cousin & 2 nieces)went there by taxi which will be far more expensive but a lot more nearer if we were to go by MRT and Taxi. Anyway, the pig head driver purposely take us for a round(U turn)so that he can cheat on us...Luckily, he is taking 3 Singaporean inside, or else i will be slashed..Haha. So, we paid $7.50 instead of $9.80.

So...there it's----Singapore Zoo

After entrance : pictures are taken for free with the parrots, i mean the service only, not if you decide to buy the pic later

See those parrot? They are much more cuter in real...

This picture taken at the entrance...a bit smaller though..haha

My nieces looking at the leopard which are resting inside behind the mirror glass...

Nice cutting plant near the Children Playing Ground..looks pretty much like somethg or someone..haha

Alternating white and black line animal

my little nieces with me...

the paired duckling- sorry for the blurred picture. they were moving too fast..
haha

This is one of the tiger who had the dead Malaysian in the mouth and stomach. It's just 3 days after my zoo visit..haha

Lastly, performance by the elephants in the zoo..plenty of interesting act to be seen actually such as moving the log and saluting etc..
Didn't manage to go for other performance as the zoo is too large and couldn't catch up with all the activity on schedule with limited time.

Intensive Round

Days in *NICU is isn't the way it thought to be. Everyday is a war time where any patient can deteriorate very fast. So, the rule is better make sure you know all your stuff before you're managing any patient in the ward.

Everyone in the ward has to be well-trained including all the nurses without exception although they still caught some troubles here and there everyday. Anyway, the nurses here are 100% far more experienced in handling any emergency neurosurgery case than in any other ward and also from where i am from. All of them area capable of making clinical decision and to inform the doctor immediately if something terrible is happening to the doctors.

Monitoring in ICU is using a system called "Carevue", a computerised system whereby they enter all the observation from patient's daily monitoring. Everything including the vital signs, medications, PU/BO, I/O investigation etc are all charted out for easier monitoring.

*NICU- Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit

Brain is All Over in Neurosurgery unit!!!!

It was after lunch where we have a good laugh where one of the MO there actually commented on something about the brain which actually is rather funny...

He was mentioning that the speaker just now has brain shifted to the somewhere.. Well, maybe because they are talking about some pc program which going to cost the hospital 30 ,000+ for maintenance. This is in fact a large figure indeed.

Anyway, there was another lady around. An "Angmoh" with sort of flat chest..
So, he told us that the brain actually shifted to the butt..Haha, her butt is bigger, no doubt about that. Hehe..

No offence ladies!!!!

Anyway, wonder that's the way neurosurgeon jokes is? I have no clue at all.

Bye Bye Uncle ????

When i was home to day, the daughter of the neighbour of my cousin come and opened her main door in search for my nephew.. Well, they r good friends and communicating non-verbally. My nephew still can't talk at the moment and the neighbour daughter was probably too shy to talk to anyone.

Anyway, my nephew was not around in the house when i came back from the hospital. So, i told her that my my nephew and her mother(my cousin) has went out for dinner..

So...there come this interesting part...

As normal the neighbour need to say bye bye to me. And, guest what? The father was actually saying like this "say bye bye uncle".

Am i so old to be called uncle? Hmm...i wonder...haha

First & Second Day in Neurosurgery

Whether it’s my luck or not, I am still not sure as to how should I be feeling. I am allocated in the NICU ward of NNI, Singapore for the first week posting. Being a medical student with negligible knowledge about neurosurgery, I think I am starting to adapt to the orientation of the ward. Well, I can’t say it’s 100% but at least 40% which is still satisfactory for me but it may not be for the consultant there..Haha

Well, maybe I should consider it my luck as the consultant, Dr 100% seldom teach but she was teaching because of the new junior MO that just started their new posting there. Therefore, I am granted a chance to learn from her. Why Dr 100%? This is because she expects every MO in the ward to manage the patient from head to toe and as a human.

I agreed with her saying that “No one would like their parent to be treated by a doctor with 5/10 qualification” Neither one of us would like to be treated by someone who might endanger their life.

Driver's Attitude - Reckless Driving

Last Night, i met a driver who is absolutely unbelievable. It was early in the night around 8am when i was driving to Hospital in order to clerk a patient presentation tomorrow.

It happened just somewhere near to the traffic light. There was this car with plate number 6677 which came out of the sudden from the side of the road and forced me to go the right lane from the middle lane. I am still okey with that actually, until the moment where i give the traffic signal to go back to the middle lane (left) so that i can turn to the right to the hospital. And, there he was, stupidly accelerating so that he could pass in front of me from the Left where he almost crashed onto my car as there was another car on the left lane. Anyway, me as expected quickly moved slightly to the right and gave off a hon to that "Reckless driver".

Of course, i am not stingy enough to give him a show of hand ....inside the car.haha
Oops...Don't misunderstood. i mean the whole hand and not those you imagined.

And,then........ The traffic light showed Red. So, we all have to stop. He opened the car door and walk out to also give me a show of hand plus some mumble jumble. Sorry, i couldn't hear what he was talking about because the car window was close. By the way, it was not fun at all...Scared the hell out of me...Who would ever know what that kind of driver would do to me or to my car.

Anyway, i have told myself, the next time this kind of thing happen; i am going to be ready with the "Car Alarm" in hand, just in case he does walk over "to say hello". haha

Sigh...I am quite disappointed with some of the drivers i saw in Seremban. I wonder when can they learn how to respect others and also themselves.

Discounted Polo Watch in Jusco Seremban

Guess what...I managed to get a Polo watch which is quite nice in Jusco Seremban Yesterday for RM47.70 with the original price of RM159 (70% discount).

Besides that, there is 1 year of warranty for that watch. Do hope it will be working fine..though it's cheap. Well, i mean discounted watch.

Expensive Train Ticket from Singapore!!

In view of the problems which might be arising when i need to come back from Singapore later on, i managed to get around the town for ticket coming back from Singapore. There is no bus ticket to reach Seremban but Kl , therefore i have to resort to train again. Sigh..I wouldn't have the chance to sight-seeing along the way back from Singapore..

And, guess what. I don't know which Idiot in the internet who said that buying the ticket from Malaysia will actually be counted in Ringgit..When i was at the counter buying for the train ticket, I was told RM 60+ as it's actually SGD 26 and not RM 26...Sigh...I am spending more and more for my medical elective trip to Singapore. I just hope that everything will go fine and be more worthwhile than i think...

Anyway, i am still looking forward for this trip there...It's still counted as my first trip "Overseas". Haha..

Screw and Cervical Collar in the Cervical X-Ray???

Yesterday Morning, We were shown a few radiograph by the ENT specialist. There was this particular radiograph/X-ray which we were shown and asked to comment on it. It was an X-ray with minor opacities over the tooth, 2 small opacities on the anterior and posterior atlas with typical linear like pattern on the lower neck.

The tooth part? O f course we all know that it's actually a dental filling. However, no one could really answer on the opaques linear thing on the lower neck until the very end moment where someone suddenly shouted "" Cervical collar" !! and the two opacities? Someone answered screw but no one could actually answer what screw is that used in the orthopaedic.
Well, i think some of us actually noticed what it was until we were convinced that it's maybe a cervical collar. What a funny laugh....

In the end?

Neck -----> Necklace

Atlas there? ----> earrings

What a tricky thing to show us....

And the lessons?

To all radiologist. please remove patient's jewellery before any radiograph is to be taken orelse it will be mistaken by the medical student as "screws" and cervical collar!!!!!

Rinne, Weber and Absolute Bone Conduction Test

1) Rinne Test -->
After vibrating it, it's put in front of the patient's ears to checked if patient can actually hear the ringing sound. Best if you hear it by yourself first to make sure its a good vibration.
Then put it behind the patient ear just above the tip of the mastoid process. Asked the patient if he/ she is hearing the sounds(not feeling the vibration)and instruct sher to inform once she can't hear. Then, the tuning fork should be shifted in front of the patient ear to check if she still hear anything.Test the other side of the ear as well. Positive Rinne test will mean air conduction which is usually better than bone conduction.

2) Weber Test-->
Again, vibrate the tuning fork using the same way that you're comfortable with before it's put on the center of the patient's forehead/chin(better on the forehead). Ask the patient whether he can hear the sound before you proceed asking whether he can appreciate whether both side of the ears hear equally or 1 side of the ear is hearing better.

If the test Lateralise, or patient hears better on one side of the ear, it means he has either sensorineural hearing loss on the opposite ear or he has conductive deafness of the same side. This should however be confirmed with Absolute Bone Conduction test (ABC)

3) Absolute Bone Conduction test -->

This test is done in the assumption that the examiner actually having both normal conductive and seusorineural hearing ability.

The vibrating tuning fork is placed on the mastoid process again with the tragus of the ear pressed to occlude the external ear meatus (obstruct air conduction). The patient will hear if he has a normal sensorineural conduction of hearing.

Gosh!!! I am having Left sided sensorineural hearing loss???

I was in the clinic with a ENT specialist and was requested to examine the patient hearing ability. Basically, i have to show how i carried out Rinne Test, Weber Test and Absolute Bone Conduction Test using 512 Hz tuning fork.

Tuning fork was tuned either by using the index finger and thumb or by hitting it on the tip of elbow/elecranon.

1) Rinne Test -->
After vibrating it, it's put in front of the patient's ears to checked if patient can actually hear the ringing sound. Best if you hear it by yourself first to make sure its a good vibration.
Then put it behind the patient ear just above the tip of the mastoid process. This is the part i screwed up where the patient can hear with the absolute bone conduction test and i couldn't on the left side. Goshh...so? i am having some sensorineural hearing loss? The ENT specialist tested me again and it's sound like my ear is having some problem. I was send for Pure Tone Audiometri and the test comes out to be normal surprisingly enough...Hmm...so, what's wrong with me? I myself just can't figure it out...

Another Try for Judo

I am starting to get "itchy", i mean in the sense of getting myself on the track to fight again. It has been sometime where i didn't even touch Judo at all. Or should i say, it's had been the past one whole year. i don't seem to getting all my motivation back and was keep thinking about all the hardship of doing Judo.

Well, it supposed to be something fun but probably i didn't realise all the hardwork that i need to pay? Or that, it's actually something that i haven't learn? To enjoy myself in everything? I lost my motivation honestly.

Recalling on my childhood time, i always get my friend to come to my house for a fight. I mean those children fight with bear hand ; not those using all the dangerous weapons. Sometime, i even fight against a few of them at one time. It's always the childhood memory that bring us most happiness. I wonder why?? Haha

It's also this interest that lead me to Karate in my Secondary School in Perak. I was searching for Judo though but ended up nowhere. There was Taekwondo in my Lower secondary school but it was way to expensive at that time for me. So, i didn't manage to join it. Anyway, i was only starting my karate training in the late form 4 when i got motorbike to travel between kedah and Perak by 20 minutes ride. It's after almost 2 years of training that i managed to get my Brown 4 belt in Budokan Karate(武道馆). However, i didn't manage to complete it until Black belt as i was leaving for Local matriculation for further study.

When i was in my Uni time, the search continued, but again i was not able to get any info about it at the beginning. So, i ended up with aikido for the first few months. It was fun at first but still i just feel that it's lacking of something; not really the thing that i wanted it to be. So, i decided to left and try my luck again with Judo.

For this time at the moment, i am having multiple ache now as i am way to long of inactive sedentary lifestyle.

Update for the car issue

It's happening again...My car couldn't start again after my dad go and buzz with it. Haha
This time it was in my hometown at my house. So, i called the mechanic which we're used to find when something wrong with the car. Unfortunately, he was not available for that day.

Somehow, my younger brother managed to get his friend who are more familiar with cars to give a knock knock. Surprisingly enough, it managed to started. More surprisingly, he said that was the first time he doing it. Luckily, my car didn't spoil because of him.haha

So, i spend 3 hours and Rm 70 in the end after driving it to the mechanic for it to be fully dismantled. What a waste of time and money when i can actually get a new 1 for RM 100 over.

manage to read 4 chapter of basic opthalmology and that is all. Haha

Balik Kampung !!!!

Next week will be the incoming big celebration for the Malays, and me as a chinese of course will take the opportunity of 1 week holiday to go back to my hometown in Kedah. Though i wouldn't be celebrating it but still it's a nice time to go back to home sweet home...

Of course, this time the journey will be different. I will be taking the journey with wz and strive our way back using the "old" or conventional road. This also mean all the speed will have to be reduced to 80 km/hr. Orelse? Rm300 loh...

Anyway, i still want to try out the old way as i can really cave on all those tol expense which is really terrible..i mean adding with the petrol that i will be spending on. Haha

Couldn't Start the Car !!!!

It was still fine when i was driving the car for dinner around 6:30pm. But, when i was on my last step in reaching hospital...

Put in the key, turn to on and then further turning the key...

NO SOUNDS AT All !!!!!...

DAmn..I know something was wrong and probably that was from the unfinished bad luck. Had a few try but it just happened to be too quiet, no respond or whatsoever to give me of a clue that what went wrong.

It was then too dark for me to check the car as it was almost 8:30pm by that time and i couldn't do anything besides going back to the room and wait for my housemate to wake up and ask :"Are you going to the hospital?". To my disapointment : "No". Haih..what to do? I can only stay home and study. But , i didn't manage to study anything at the end...Sigh..

Anyway, after the whole boring day in Uni and Hospital, i manage to go back and called someone to the help. He checked everything and also the battery, in which nothing was wrong.. Finally, he went and grab one of his plyer,; get into the deeper down part of the engine; knock knock; go back to the car and turn the ignation...

It was settled. The car was started!!! Finally, orelse i will get some "bleeding" from my pocket. Haha

He didn't charge me for anything so i just thought maybe i should just change the engine oil as well since he actually come all the way to my house to fix it. And, of course my engine oil is diminishing and almost near to the date.

Girls ??

When a girl is quiet
Million of things are running in her mind

When a girl is not around
She is thinking deeply

When a girl look at you with eyes full of questions
She is wondering how long you will be around

When a girl answer "I am fine" after a few seconds
She is not fine at all

When a girl stares at you
She is wondering why are you lying

When a girl lay on your chest
She is wishing for you to be her forever

when a girl wants to see you everyday
She wants to be pampered

When a girl says "I Love You"
She mean it

When a girl says "I miss You"
No one in this world can miss you more than that

Life only come once
so make sure you're spending with the right person

Find a Guy, who calls you beautiful instead of hot:
Who calls you back when you hang up on him.

Who will stay awake just to watch you sleep
Wait for the guy who ...
kisses your forehead.

Who wants to show you off to the world
when you are in your sweats.
Who holds your hand in front of his friends.

Who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares about you;
and how lucky he is to have you.

Who turns to his friends and says, ' That's her!! '

Real Emergency in A&E

It’s has been 1 week since I was in Accident & Emergency Department and it was almost calm as the peaceful water in a stagnant pool. Does that mean a good thing? Well, certainly not for me to learn anything to be a practical doctor in the future.

Anyway, I was really seeing an emergency happening in the Accident and Trauma Unit !!!! Well, I am not saying I haven’t seen any emergency in Emergency department but it’s just not the kind of emergency where everyone will rush to patient, surround the patient in rescuing the patient. Luckily enough, I finally saw one yesterday.

Way before the emergency case coming in, there was a lady who presented with End Stage Renal Failure in the critical zone mostly likely due to noncompliance in fluid restriction. Just about half an hour after that, the double siren was alarmed indicating red zone case coming.. A young unconscious patient which most likely suffering from Motor Vehicle Accident come in with severe head injury and bleeding from the head and nose. All the doctors, nurses and medical assistant came in rushing in attending to the patient; cervical collar was already in place in order to prevent cervical injury. He was then transferred carefully onto another bed for the whole resuscitation process.

Normal saline and later Gelafusine was given for fluid resuscitation in order to revive patient’s Blood Pressure which has fallen into 90/30 (Normal ~ 120/80). Laryngoscopy was performed for intubation with great difficulty and carefully as the patient tongue was protruding out and obstructing the mouth. Then, we also helped out in the pumping the air into the patient and suctioning of blood which kept on gushing out from the mouth of the patient. Almost 1/5 of the patient blood was suctioned out throughout the process. And each time before the blood is be suck out, it will splash on towards the surrounding which is severely distressing as it mean massive bleeding which was happening inside the patient body.

Besides that, the L chest was hyperexpanded with evidence of pneumothorax (air in the lung) and probably subcutaneous emphysema also. So, a large bore needle was inserted through the chest to allow the portion of the air to flow out before a chest tube was attached to the left chest in the safety area to drain out the air in the lung. The bulging of the left chest became lessened by about 20% however not so fully.

The whole condition became very messy as the patient kept on having bleeding flowing and gushing out from the mouth and thus splashing on most of the apron we wore. The floor also stained red because of that.

After a while, the patient was having Ventricular Fibrillation and Defibrillator was needed to bring the patient back onto normal rhythm. All of us have to stay far away from the patient body in order not to be the next patient lying on the floor.Haha..

After 2 time of defibrillation, patient doesn’t show much positive response. And, the heart became asystole which we proceeded for CPR. The patient was announced dead after a short while.

To be honest, this is the first time I seen a “real emergency” and I really learned a lot about it. Hopefully, I myself will be competent enough to handle every case with care.

The present

It's had been a long time that i didn't update my blog...Well, i can just say that i have been busy for the past few months and that i was a little bit lazy in writing long-winded things..

Anyway, just a quich review of what i haven been through in the recent few months

Newest
1) Orthopedic posting- it's just been the past 1 week that i was in the new posting..And, not to mention i have to revise all over about my musculoskeletal system and central nervous system all over again

2) Results- i got C+ for my Obstetric MCQ, B- for Psychiatry MCQ and A- for Psychiatry clinical examination. Cheer for myself in psychiatry but not for obstetric posting..Haih....Anyway, i need to work harder after this...

3)Holidays- one week of pitiable holiday, i ended up doing not much of things that i were supposed to do. Besides that, i got fine (RM6) from the stupid library as i couldn't renew my books online after the overdue date.

4)End of psychiatric posting- i did like psychiatry posting and found that this is the only posting which has given me the most satisfaction. However, i am still not sure of making myself a psychiatrist. Perhaps i can do more if i were to become a GP and help others in another way rather than being a psychiatrist who only give off medications most of the time?

5) Grandma passed away 2mths after my great grandma- i supposed they had their time to go somewhere else where they will have a better life? or maybe better life for others who were around them...

i think the last below should be the recent event rather than orthopedic posting...

We celebrated O&G birthday today in Jusco.Haha, it was secretly planned but was not happening according to what was planned. Anyway, it was a nice dinner after all..Haha

Felt rather empty recently, no 1 to talk to, no 1 to share my real feeling and no 1 to have the fun of the world..Though i have someone in my life, but the emptiness just couldn't leave me alone?
Am i still waiting for something? something that i don't even know what it is...Haha

Thats all for now..

Simplicity

Actually it's very simple.....

有一個人去應徵工作,隨手將走廊上的紙屑撿起來,放進了垃圾桶,被路過的口試官看到了,因此他得到了這份工作。
A man who went for an interview simply pick up a tissue on the floor and has thrown it into the dustbin was hired by the boss because he saw him doing the act.

原來獲得賞識很簡單,養成好習慣就可以了。

Self-Integrity(Things you probably shouldn't be doing)

In the routine day to day life, we often create conflicts with others as most people have their own opinion on how each thing should be done. However, we need to consciously remind ourself that it's not important to criticize what others is doing. Instead, remind them politely if they are wrong and encourage or praise them whenever they do something right

Belows are few things that we shouldn't or should be doing :
Will add on as time goes by....

1) Remind/ advice a person politely if he/she did something wrong(best if without a third party/person)

2) Provide appropriate response (feedback, agreement etc.) to the talking person as people tend to talk to get response (even if it's just a small smile)

3) Always observe others behaviour and Facial response (grimace, angry inside etc..)
It can help you a lot in day to day life.

4) Plan your arguments wisely(and i mean it) before you argue with your boss. Do not trigger any "War" unnecessarily!! you will not know when he is of bad mood and get back on you...

Electronic faulty

sometime electronic devises can really give a lot of havocs than give us all the headache. My laptop which is newly bought not long ago started having problems since not long ago as the internal fans were no longer working due to some unknown reasons. And, it get really hot when on for some time which it can be felt even on my laptop keyboard as i was typing.

Anyway, someone reminded me that i still have a mobile fan which i can position it so that it can face my laptop air flow compartment so that all the hot air can be so called channeled out and wouldn't burn off. Luckily that i noticed it early, or all my data would have been out of order at this moment.

Besides my laptop, my Discman was also giving out problem as the adapter no longer working. The adapter was old and in a bad condition whereby i don't think i will be able to fix it anymore. So, i need to go around the town to search for the suitable adapter which can fit mt Discman and it costs me around RM40...No choice other than to pay off the amount in order for me to listen to radio again as i used to listen to the radio through the Discman...

So, in conclusion, try to get those good quality electronic devices whenever anyone wants to get one. Be sure to check and research on the product that you will be buying or you will regret it sooner or later.

Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

It was a very interesting day today as we learn more about child psychiatric illness especially on Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity disorders. It commonly been noticed before the age of 8 after kindergarten start and it can give up all the spectrums of the disease ranging from hyperactivity, inattention and impulsivity of a child.

Hyperactivity- the child wouldn't be able to sit still and will continue running and jumping around despite being scolded by the parents.

Inattention - the child wouldn't be able to focus or remember what have been said neither do they performed well academically.

Impulsitivity - Child have an sudden aggressiveness such as pushing the other children suddenly and throw tantrums easily on small matter.

However, a normal child might be showing off all the behaviors above; so it's only when all the behavior above actually affecting the function of the child in their learning or speech only then we consider giving treatment to the children.

Though there was cases of child keep on needing the medicine even after going into adulthood, parents need not worry too much of the condition as most of the child illness remit after they finish their primary school.

Alive and death

Perhaps or Absolutely all of us need to face the death of our love one/ relative once in a while in our lifetime. My great grandmother just passed away on the 3rd day of CNY. Well, nothing to be sorry or too sad about as it's her time to go. She was already near hundred when she choose to leave this world for her next journey(Wonder whether it's exist?). She pick a nice and appropriate day to leave this world anyway as only the first and second day of CNY is considerd the most important day of CNY though it's still chinese new year. Chinese really pantang (forbid) about talking on death or death related words especially in those greart celebration days such as chinese new year and marriages.

This is also perhaps the first time my mum facing death of her beloved grandmother. And, maybe she will face it for the second time very very soon. I know it's going to be hard for her but i do hope that she will be able to cope with it. I myself couldn't imagine if i were to face this, but i know that the time is not yet near nor not it too far away...

Hope i could actually find an answer to all these...about death and life. Perhaps i will 1 day in the future more than those could be offered by religions....

Finally, wish myself to always remember this.... "the people wh

As We Grow

You don't like growing up isn't it ? Haha

As we grow up, we tend to forgot whatever dreams that he had since childhood. The older we get, the more we actually come to realize that we have no more dream, those naïve but inspirational dreams….

As for me, I used to also have a lot of dreams, but time, No! Not time, but myself who has given up all those dreams. Undoubtedly, dreams does change or forgotten along the path of our life.

Childhood :

1) To be a GREAT GREAT DOCTOR- and I mean CURATIVE, COMPASSIONATE, INSPIRATIONAL DOCTOR.

2) To learn exclusive MARTIAL ART, including JUDO (my favourite-yellow belt<2nd lowest rank>) and maybe KARATE (brown belt only).

I used to so-called fight/compete with my friends last time. Haha, so childish of me that I soon realized there are so much more for me to learn.

3) To own a house with a HUGE GARDEN and a MODERATE POND with a lot of fish. Not to forget, I wanted to design a SPECIAL FISH AQUARIUM within the house where all the fish can swim throughout the house.

4) To learn all about TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE & HYPNOSIS.

I was so amazed by the way how those “singseh” managed to diagnose any disease just by feeling the pulse and how a person can be hypnotized without even letting a person knowing it.

THINK ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Read Each One Carefully and Think About It a Second or Two
小心讀每一個,再用一兩秒想一想 (*chinese translation)

1.
I love you not because of who you are, but because of who I am when I am with you.

我愛你不是因為你是誰,而是我在你面前可以是誰。

2. No man or woman is worth your tears, and the one who is, won't make you cry.
沒有男人或女人是值得你為他流眼淚,值得的那一位,不會要你哭。

3. Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.
那人不是你所想般愛你,但不代表那人不是全心全意地愛你。

4. A true friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart.
一個真正的朋友是向著你伸手,觸動你心靈的人。

5. The worst way to miss someone is to be sitting right beside them knowing you can't have them.
掛念一個人最差的方式,就是你坐在他身旁,而知道你不能擁有他。

6. Never frown, even when you are sad, because you never know who is falling in love with your smile.
就算你不快樂也不要皺眉,因為你永不知道誰會愛上你的笑容。

7. To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.
在世界裡你可能只是某人,但對某人你可能是全世界。

8. Don't waste your time on a man/woman, who isn't willing to waste their time on you.
不要花時間在一個不會花時間在你身上的人。

9. Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one, so that when we finally meet the person, we will know how to be grateful.
可能神要我們在遇到那位對的人之前先遇上一些錯的人,讓我們遇到那位對先生/對小姐時懂得珍惜。

10. Don't cry because it is over, smile because it happened.
不要因為完結而哭,要為曾經發生而微笑。

11. There's always going to be people that hurt you so what you have to do is keep on trusting and just be more careful about who you trust next time around.
這個世界永遠也會有一些傷害你的人,你要做的就是繼續去信人和小心你下次信的人。

12. Make yourself a better person and know who you are before you try and know someone else and expect them to know you.
在你嘗試了解其他人和盼望其他人明白你之前,先把你自己變成一個更好的人和了解你自己。

13. Don't try so hard, the best things come when you least expect them to.
不要太努力去找,最好的東西是在你最預計不到的時候出現。

REMEMBER: WHATEVER HAPPENS, HAPPENS FOR A REASON.
緊記: 所有事也是因果循環的。
True friends: How many people actually have 8 true friends?
真正朋友: 有幾多人有八位真正的朋友?
Hardly anyone I know ! But some of us have all right friends and good friends!!!
我幾乎不認識這些人! 但在我們當中有些人全有對和好的朋友!!!

Another Grey Day of My Life…

A TRUTH it is....

Looking and seeing the pain & suffering that my grandma (pancreatic Cancer since 2 months ago) got to go through, I am wondering is there anything that I can do?

Or, maybe there is something , just something to relief her pain?

All my aunt , mum and uncle are trying all sorts of so-called “complementary medicine ” ranging from some direct sales(water filter & nutritional products), complex Chinese complementary herbal medicine and oilments which claim might be a cure for cancer. Hmm, I really doubt if those really work? And, I am also wondering ; is that what she wanted?

It’s not going to be something nice nor tolerable to actually eat dozen of medicine every single day for a long period of time, as if the rice we are eating each day. Actually, the doctors have been prescribing morphine to my grandma, since she really couldn’t tolerate the pain and was keep on demanding for panadol(paracetamol) each alternate hour even at night. However, it’s seems that it doesn’t works on her and she claim that paracetamol helps her more.. Hmm, I still need to find out the answer for this. Therefore, my relatives are all searching for something to relieve the pain and probably “curing” the disease. But, how much is the efficacy and truth? I really want to know!!!!!!!

On the other hand, It Is The Hope That Keep Human On-Going, Isn’t It? I just cant tell them it’s not going to work as a medical student, that my grandma wouldn’t has the chance to live on. And, it’s also at that moment I found myself trapped, trapped in the realism of this world. I know there is no way that me or any other people to run away from it, but I just hope 1 day I will be able to understand it.

To Realize

To realize
The value of a sister
Ask someone
Who doesn't have

one.

To realize
The value of ten years:
Ask a newly
Divorced couple.

To realize
The value of four years:
Ask a graduate.

To realize
The value of one year:
Ask a student who
Has failed a final exam.

To realize
The value of nine months:
Ask a mother who gave birth to a still born.

To realize

The value of one month:
Ask a mother
who has given birth to
A premature baby.

To realize
The value of one week:
Ask an editor of a weekly newspaper.

To realize
The value of one hour:
Ask the lovers who are waiting to Meet.

To realize
The value of one minute:
Ask a person
Who has missed the train, bus or plane.

To realize
The value of one-second:
Ask a person
Who has survived an accident...

To realize
The value of one millisecond:
Ask the person who has won a silver

medal in the Olympics

Time waits for no one.

Treasure every moment you have.
You will treasure it even more when
you can share it with someone special.

To realize the value of a friend:
Lose one.

Read Carefully and Understand the Meanings:

Nobody is perfect until you fall in love with them.
Love starts with a smile, grows with a kiss, and ends with a tear.
Don't cry over anyone who won't cry over you.
What do you do when the only person who can make you stop crying is the person who made you cry?
If love isn't a game, why are there so many players?

Good friends are hard to find, harder to leave, and impossible to forget.
You can only go as far as you push!
Actions speak louder than words.
The hardest thing to do is watch the one you love, love somebody else.
Don't let the past hold you back, you're missing the good stuff.
Life's short. If you don't look around once in a while you might miss it.
A best friend is like a four leaf clover, hard to find and lucky to have.
Some people make the world special by just being in it.
Best friends are the siblings God forgot to give us.

When it hurts to look back, and you're scared to look ahead, you can look beside you and your best friend will be there.

True friendship never ends.

Friends are forever.

Good friends are like stars....you don't always see them, but you know they are always there.
Don't frown, you never know who is falling in love with your smile.
Everything is okay in the end. If it's not okay, then it's not the end.

Most people walk in and out of your life, but only friends leave footprints in your heart.

If u love something...let it go.
If it comes back to you its
yours....
If it doesn't then it never was.

A kiss is just a kiss until u find the one you love. A hug is just a hug>until its from the one ur thinking of. A dream is just a dream until u make it come true. LOVE is just a word until its proven 2 u.
