It's really a bit awkward for me in Singapore to get all the channels which are showing chinese show to be translated into pure Mandarin. No other chinese languages other than pure mandarin are allowed here in Singapore!!
I don't really understand why is it so.. Other chinese languages like cantonese and hokkien are sometime so nice and convenient. It's a variability that we can actually see from all the languages.
Who will be the one to continue the culture and heritage of other chinese languages? Are we suppose to lost another of out heritage? I just don't understand it..

Second eye sore in Train
This is really 60% Porn..Please do not proceed if you're less than 18.Haha
I am standing in the train..and there was this couples..
Not sure if they are true couples just ....
So, this 40+ year old lady who was sitting in the MRT chair was sort of "playing" with the "boyfriend" standing just in front of her.
There were plenty of crowds in the train/MRT actually but not much of people noticed it.
So, this lady was there using her hand trying to lift up that guy short. And, yes, you can actually see her trying to control her laugh.
Then, she started using her legs to try and "sensualise" the BF..rubbing both of them on his feet.
Worst of all, she was showing her hand which looked like as if she wana grab the BF of his balls and penis...EEEeewww...in a train
Don't really know what luck running to me today, got to see opthalmologist to get some Tear Naturale (artificial tear) soon..haha

First ache in the train
I saw 2 funny matter today during my way back to woodland from Sentosa trip.. It's a pretty tired trip actually..
Along the way, probably in Novena station, there was this "old lady" - i will name her Pear who actually came into the train and demanded for a seat. How rude!!! Of course, she was not doing it on me, orelse she wouldn't probably get something from me...
This is how she actually demanded for a seat from a young man(ym) :-
Pear : Can i sit down? .......... fierce high rude tone without "Please"
YM who was playing PSP looked around, not sure what is happening
Pear : Do you know what seat is this? look at the sign... (showing the sign of priority seat to disabled, pregnant lady or lady with child).
YM slowly wakes up to let Pear sit on his place.
Then, there comes phylosophical music from Pear..
Pear : You guys are young man, strong and healthy, should let old people sit. Sorry, i don't mean to interfere. (After realising she was a bit rude)
I mean we as young man are happy enough to offer out a seat But please can it be done it a polite way? Besides, old age doesn't mean anything!!! Some people can still be way healthier than the young. I respect person as person no matter how old or young they are , just with 1 principle.
Please respect yourself before others respect you
For this Pear lady? Sorry, she is not deserving any respect from me.
And why Pear? Well, her shape did look like one..Hehe

Make Up
Started since the 2 weeks of neurosurgery posting and now in NUS, i noticed that a lot of "women" likes to put make up. And, it's almost the same make up for everyone of them- thick cherry red on both cheek and dark purplish circle around the eyelids.
this picture below sort of illustrate how the cheek looks like..
Honestly, i just feel weird about that since it doesn't make them pretty at all...

Singapore's Zoo
It's only until the weekend that i was able to sneak around Singapore for leisure As everyday NICU ward round was until 6pm in the afternoon.
So...last week, i finally managed to get myself to the zoo...YAya!!!!
Though it's just watching all the animals and nothing much...It's still my so called "First Destination" in Singapore---Zoo
We (Me, Cousin & 2 nieces)went there by taxi which will be far more expensive but a lot more nearer if we were to go by MRT and Taxi. Anyway, the pig head driver purposely take us for a round(U turn)so that he can cheat on us...Luckily, he is taking 3 Singaporean inside, or else i will be slashed..Haha. So, we paid $7.50 instead of $9.80.
So...there it's----Singapore Zoo
After entrance : pictures are taken for free with the parrots, i mean the service only, not if you decide to buy the pic later
See those parrot? They are much more cuter in real...
This picture taken at the entrance...a bit smaller though..haha
My nieces looking at the leopard which are resting inside behind the mirror glass...
Nice cutting plant near the Children Playing Ground..looks pretty much like somethg or someone..haha
Alternating white and black line animal
my little nieces with me...
the paired duckling- sorry for the blurred picture. they were moving too fast..
haha
This is one of the tiger who had the dead Malaysian in the mouth and stomach. It's just 3 days after my zoo visit..haha
Lastly, performance by the elephants in the zoo..plenty of interesting act to be seen actually such as moving the log and saluting etc..
Didn't manage to go for other performance as the zoo is too large and couldn't catch up with all the activity on schedule with limited time.

Intensive Round
Days in *NICU is isn't the way it thought to be. Everyday is a war time where any patient can deteriorate very fast. So, the rule is better make sure you know all your stuff before you're managing any patient in the ward.
Everyone in the ward has to be well-trained including all the nurses without exception although they still caught some troubles here and there everyday. Anyway, the nurses here are 100% far more experienced in handling any emergency neurosurgery case than in any other ward and also from where i am from. All of them area capable of making clinical decision and to inform the doctor immediately if something terrible is happening to the doctors.
Monitoring in ICU is using a system called "Carevue", a computerised system whereby they enter all the observation from patient's daily monitoring. Everything including the vital signs, medications, PU/BO, I/O investigation etc are all charted out for easier monitoring.

Brain is All Over in Neurosurgery unit!!!!
It was after lunch where we have a good laugh where one of the MO there actually commented on something about the brain which actually is rather funny...
He was mentioning that the speaker just now has brain shifted to the somewhere.. Well, maybe because they are talking about some pc program which going to cost the hospital 30 ,000+ for maintenance. This is in fact a large figure indeed.
Anyway, there was another lady around. An "Angmoh" with sort of flat chest..
So, he told us that the brain actually shifted to the butt..Haha, her butt is bigger, no doubt about that. Hehe..
No offence ladies!!!!
Anyway, wonder that's the way neurosurgeon jokes is? I have no clue at all.

Bye Bye Uncle ????
When i was home to day, the daughter of the neighbour of my cousin come and opened her main door in search for my nephew.. Well, they r good friends and communicating non-verbally. My nephew still can't talk at the moment and the neighbour daughter was probably too shy to talk to anyone.
Anyway, my nephew was not around in the house when i came back from the hospital. So, i told her that my my nephew and her mother(my cousin) has went out for dinner..
So...there come this interesting part...
As normal the neighbour need to say bye bye to me. And, guest what? The father was actually saying like this "say bye bye uncle".
Am i so old to be called uncle? Hmm...i wonder...haha

First & Second Day in Neurosurgery
Whether it’s my luck or not, I am still not sure as to how should I be feeling. I am allocated in the NICU ward of NNI, Singapore for the first week posting. Being a medical student with negligible knowledge about neurosurgery, I think I am starting to adapt to the orientation of the ward. Well, I can’t say it’s 100% but at least 40% which is still satisfactory for me but it may not be for the consultant there..Haha
Well, maybe I should consider it my luck as the consultant, Dr 100% seldom teach but she was teaching because of the new junior MO that just started their new posting there. Therefore, I am granted a chance to learn from her. Why Dr 100%? This is because she expects every MO in the ward to manage the patient from head to toe and as a human.
I agreed with her saying that “No one would like their parent to be treated by a doctor with 5/10 qualification” Neither one of us would like to be treated by someone who might endanger their life.
